The Cedar Wood PTA is a non-profit organization of parents, teachers, staff and community members who work together to support Cedar Wood Elementary School in Bothell, WA. Established in the 1991-92 school year when Cedar Wood first opened, the CW PTA has been a strong partner with the school for almost 25 years.

We offer a variety of programs and activities that reflect our mission and goals of enhancing students’ education and engaging and empowering families to be an active part in the school community. We provide before- and after-school enrichment opportunities such as chess, foreign language, robotics, art, etc. We host many community-building family events such as school dances, fun nights, popsicle playdates for incoming Kindergarteners. We hold biannual book fairs which promote reading and support our library, as well as holiday giving programs for our local community. The PTA also organizes volunteers for classroom events, our art docent program and Kindness Club.

Around the Community

Sno-Isle Library Resources: Visit the kids section of the Sno-Isle website for a variety of resources available to parents and students of all ages. The “Homework Help for Kids” page is full of databases and links to aid students with their classwork. If you need information about a person’s life, “Biography in Context” will provide reference and magazine articles, audio and video clips. Need to learn about what people in other countries eat, how they celebrate holidays, and what games and sports they play? “CultureGrams” will answer these questions and more about school life, languages and other things you’ll need for your homework assignments. Take a look at these databases on the Sno-Isle website and if you have questions about these and other databases, programs or library services, please call the Mill Creek Library at (425)337-4822 or send Mickey an email.
