The Cedar Wood PTA is a non-profit organization of parents, teachers, staff and community members who work together to support Cedar Wood Elementary School in Bothell, WA. Established in the 1991-92 school year when Cedar Wood first opened, the CW PTA has been a strong partner with the school for almost 25 years.
We offer a variety of programs and activities that reflect our mission and goals of enhancing students’ education and engaging and empowering families to be an active part in the school community. We provide before- and after-school enrichment opportunities such as chess, foreign language, robotics, art, etc. We host many community-building family events such as school dances, fun nights, popsicle playdates for incoming Kindergarteners. We hold biannual book fairs which promote reading and support our library, as well as holiday giving programs for our local community. The PTA also organizes volunteers for classroom events, our art docent program and Kindness Club.
Jump Rope for Heart
Cedar Wood is once again partnering with the American Heart Association to help kids with special hearts. This year’s JumpRope for Heart event will take place the week of February 27th during P.E. Our school goal is to raise $16,000 - each jumper is trying to reach level 3. Donation envelopes came home via kid mail and are due March 6th. Thank you for your support of healthy hearts!
The Cedar Wood Winter Concert for grades 2-5 is on Tuesday, February 28th, at 7pm at the Everett Civic Auditorium. Students should arrive between 6:15-6:30pm. Get there early to find parking and the best seats. New this year, the concert will be professionally videotaped with dvd copies available for $12. Order forms will be coming home via kid mail.
Do you have a child who will be 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2017? Registration for 2017-18 opens this week. FREE full-day kindergarten is available at all district elementary schools. To learn more visit the district website.
We've begun collecting photos for the next school yearbook and would love any pictures from events or just random pictures of kids around the school campus.

Your photos must be submitted by March 16, 2017 to be included in the next year book.
